Japanese government has used various propaganda to minimize effects of radiation to humans. In fact, all nuclear nations have done so with or without major accidents.
In April 2011, one month after the explosions at Fukushima Daiichi, the Ministry of Health in Japan issued a pamphlet specifically targeted for pregnant women and mothers with small children. The ‘safety’ of radiation is illustrated in soft and pink cartoons and over-simplified language. More than 3 million of these misleading booklets were distributed at nurseries, kindergartens and childrens hospitals throughout Japan.
